Last month ACADS-BSG were thrilled to invite you to gain Early Access to the next generation of Camel, CAMEL⁺. The uptake was extraordinary with over 300 new CAMEL⁺ accounts created.
The time has now come to retire the desktop Camel application and complete the transition to CAMEL⁺.
From July 1st 2022:
The desktop Camel application will be retired and only CAMEL⁺ will be available.
Support for the desktop Camel application will cease, meaning unlocking strings will also no longer be generated.
How this affects your organisation:
• Members: Following the expiration of both your active Camel Membership and last unlocking string, Camel will no longer run on your device.
• Non-members: Camel will no longer run on your device once the unlocking string has expired.
What you need to do to prepare:
We recommend that you ensure all project files (.DAT, .OUT etc.) are saved in a secure location on your system so that these files may be accessed via CAMEL⁺ in the future.
How to upgrade to CAMEL⁺:
To thank our Camel Members, a free Early Upgrade to CAMEL⁺ is being offered until your next Membership renewal date. Discounts will also be applied to your account for the length of your active1 CAMEL⁺ Subscription for traded-in licences.
If you don’t have an active Camel Membership, take advantage of our limited time Early Upgrade offer. Trade-up an old Camel licence to CAMEL⁺ at a discounted rate of $9992 for the first year.
CAMEL⁺ Benefits:
• Rely on the same trusted calculation engine as the original Camel, but take advantage of an enhanced User Interface that allows you to input data much more efficiently.
• Utilise backwards compatibility with Camel 5.11.1, allowing you to import your current projects.
• Access CAMEL⁺ from any PC through your web browser.
• Take advantage of future updates by simply logging in. Key planned updates include a new set of weather data and updates to suit the upcoming revision of AIRAH DA09.
