HYENA+ Consolidated User Data Update - ACADS-BSG

The User Data screen in HYENA+ lets designers input custom pipe materials and fittings.

Currently, the User Data list is unique for each user in HYENA+. While this allows each user the freedom to customise their list as they see fit, the drawback is that if you are using custom materials or fittings and someone else opens your calculation, they need to have the same custom materials or fittings entered on their User Data screen for the calculation to run successfully.

Based on customer feedback, we are transitioning to a system where all User Data entries are shared across your company account. This means each company will have a consolidated User Data list accessible to all users.

When implemented over the coming months, an initial consolidated list will be created for each company, merging identical entries and including a new “Created By” column to show which user created each entry. This feature will apply both retrospectively and to future entries.

Additionally, this week we’ve added an “Export User Data” button to the User Data screen, allowing you to export your data to an AUX text file for safekeeping. While action on your part isn’t required, you have the option to export your User Data list ahead of the consolidation.

The user interface for HYENA⁺ is much cleaner and more user friendly than the UI used for the original HYENA program. This makes the experience more enjoyable, easy, and less taxing when using the program for long periods of time. HYENA is an excellent tool to have and its now web-based nature with HYENA⁺ has allowed it to become even more beneficial.
